Sponsorship Packet

As the inaugural chair of the Sponsorship Committee for the Dallas-Fort Worth Alumni Chapter of St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, I created a professional sponsorship packet to support fundraising efforts for our beloved alma mater. This piece represents both a personal milestone and a meaningful contribution to a community I am deeply committed to.

Developed as part of my TECM 5280 – Designing Technical Documents coursework, this project required me to apply classroom design principles to a real-world, community-facing deliverable. that the chapter needed a structured and compelling way to attract donors and corporate partners, I took the initiative to develop this packet from the ground up with no prior template or predecessor to reference. The sponsorship packet was designed to clearly communicate the chapter’s mission, the impact of donor contributions, and the value of partnering with our organization in support of St. Augustine High School.

The project required a strong blend of professional writing, visual design, and persuasive communication, all tailored to appeal to potential sponsors while honoring the legacy and prestige of the institution. Built in Adobe InDesign, the packet was constructed using a grid-based layout system to ensure precise alignment, balanced spacing, and visual consistency across every page. The CRAP method (Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, Proximity) was employed throughout the design process, resulting in a document that is both aesthetically professional and easy to navigate. Every element of the packet was crafted to reflect the pride, tradition, and excellence that St. Augustine represents to its alumni and the broader New Orleans community.

This piece also demonstrates my ability to design and organize multipage technical documents effectively, ensuring that content flows logically across pages, visual elements remain consistent throughout, and the overall layout guides the reader seamlessly from one section to the next.

This project bridges my professional skill set with my passion for giving back, showcasing my ability to take on leadership in a real-world, community-facing context, manage a creative project independently, and produce polished, audience-centered communication materials that serve a greater purpose. It stands as one of the most personally meaningful projects in my portfolio.
