The objective of this project was to increase my proficiency in the software platform, Camtasia. I was tasked with creating an instructional video for a client. The client requested that the video be in screencasting format and should help users immediately start on meaningful tasks by reducing the amount of reading and passive activity, such as training.
I chose to teach the audience how to use the redact function in Adobe Acrobat. I used the principles of minimalism to help showcase simplicity and ease of use. Although the video is short, it demonstrates that redacting in Adobe is not extremely difficult and can be completed without much practice. Completing this project opened my eyes to the intricacies of video production and helped me gain a new respect for the amount of time and effort it takes to refine your thoughts and communicate well while keeping the audience in mind.
