I am a technical writer with nearly 10 years of experience in the nonprofit and higher education fields.
As I began my career in my hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana, I quickly developed a passion for communicating effectively by working in some of the most underserved communities in the country. I’ve learned that in being of service to others one must embody the philosophy of “meeting people where they are.”
I will be graduating from the University of North Texas with a Master’s Degree in Professional and Technical Communication in the Summer of 2026. The knowledge I’ve gained through completing this course of study is phemomenal and I am excited for more growth as I continue carrying out my mission to promote a more just and humane society.
Remembering the past to shape the future.

My portfolio is designed to demonstrate my proficiency in effective technical communication through showcasing some of the projects I’ve completed in my program.
I started my career in writing and communications in the inner city of my hometown New Orleans, Louisiana, working directly in the community. There I met some of the most beautiful people. In New Orleans, we call them culture-bearers.
This portfolio is dedicated to them.
Working in this community of New Orleans helped me see my city from a lens I hadn’t before and the profound paradigm shift that happened because of my servant leadership has forever changed me.
The theme of this portfolio is Sankofa. Loosely translated, it means don’t forget where you come from. I hope you find it insightful and leave with an understanding of how this educational experience has shaped who I am.
